And she is picture perfect in this wide brim hat of linen and silk. You will use a loosely woven embroidery linen (28ct) for the shaped crown and brim. The brim is then defined with a hand-applied bias binding. A DB signature scarf is softly wrapped around the crown and tied with a matching cord at center back. The binding and scarf are printed in our signature DB fern print silk fabric, using an inkjet printer. This relatively new technique is a great option when small amounts of a variety of fabrics are required - the very feature that makes it a perfect technique to use for doll clothes fabrics. You may certainly use your own silk fabric, if you prefer. The choice is yours.
